OF Transient Nature (2019) - 1:17
A presentation of site specific work at pop-up space Oumuamua.
“Motors whirr, micro computers glow dimly as they investigate their next subject, projectors burn brightly as they generate beautiful images that fade, never to be seen again.”
The idea that if we keep looking closer and closer, beauty can be simplified into washes and flashes of colour, a subject enlarged beyond recognition can become a different kind of beauty.
Found footage, After Effects.
A 15 minute multi-projector live audio visual performance (An edited sample of which is shown here)
Solo material, remixed time-lapse flower photography, blended analog RGB AV signals, warped audio.
- Dr Projectionists (2014-2016) - 3:00
Dr. Projectionists was a collaboration between Robat Jones and Nick Doslov based in Melbourne, Australia. The duo developed and exhibited new image making techniques, fusing anolog and digital methods.
They were ‘Exhibitors of live projected images using historic and new technologies. Layering created images, found and live material, with extra kaleidoscopes.’
Robat Jones is a Welsh interactive artist, living in Amsterdam. His work primarily focuses on studying the natural world through different lenses, these lenses are often made of computer code and the findings presented by projectors/beamers.
